TD - Around The World Band Pull Aparts
Welcome back to another episode of Technique Daily with today's host, Cory Gregory! Cory is going to show something he likes to call Around The World Band Pull Aparts. A lot of people have done regular band pull aparts with a red mini band squeezing the shoulder blades together. This is a pretty common exercise in the powerlifting world for upper back work. Cory has taken exercise and put his spin on it. You are going to start low with the band and with each rep you are going to work your way higher and higher until it gets awkwardly high to where you are squeezing down then work your way back down. This is really going to hit the whole upper to mid back and puts it on fire. If you go up and down for 5-10 reps, up and down counting as 1 rep, this will really help your mid back get warmed up for back or chest training. Adding in band assisted work is going to help you with your stability under weight in lifts like the bench press, military press, snatch, clean & jerk, push press, etc. Give the Around The World Band Pull Apart a try and let us know what you think!
