Leg Press: Where Do My Feet Go?
The good ole’ leg press machine. Almost every gym has one, but there’s one question you should ask every time when thinking about what exactly you want to target when you sit down. That is, “Where should my feet go?” Well, it depends.
High and Feet Wide: Targets more glutes and hamstrings
Middle and Shoulder-Width Apart: Targets more evenly between glutes, hamstrings, and quads
Low and Feet Together: Targets more quads
By varying up your foot positioning, you can vary up where you specifically want to target. Remember; create a solid foundation with your feet by gripping that leg press platform with your toes and heel. If targeting more glute drive through that heel. If targeting more quads drive through the center of the foot. As always train hard, but also train smart! Get after it!!
